They are not the only player, but they probably have the most accepting user base. They don't have the largest user base amongst the AR players though.

Metaio had a larger install base across all products, but they are gone. I guess if you count Google translate they would eclipse test in their but I don't know how many people are using word view translate implementation. I don't consider Pokemon go a pure AR play and even then their at numbers are hard to come by as a significant population used it without AR
