You are being paid to be a living repository of institutional knowledge: so you (can) know (in a finite, bounded time) what line to change in order to achieve the business requirement, and what dozen-or-so Word documents you need to read in order to confirm which unintended consequences may result of that change. That said, sleeping during massive presentations will hinder your abilities as a living repository... so, hang in there and keep pouring-in the coffee.
