Equity is rarely going to pay off for you unless you are fortunate enough to hit the Microsoft or Google jackpot. You might be able to buy a nice car, but don't expect a place in the Bahamas. Work there if you really love the people or the idea. Enjoy your monthly paycheck. But if you are in the game for the big payoff, you'll have to strike out on your own.
