What we need is love. And since, personally, I'm unhappy and I'm constantly downplayed by a lot of people and I'm given a feeling of guilt (see: feminism, for example), then I'm obliged focus on fighting for my right to belong to society instead of fighting for others' right to belong to society. I agree with the rest of your comments, and thank you for that kind and mindful last paragraph.
