- labster 10y agoObscurity is a valid defense layer, so long as it is not the only layer, and so long as the obscurity is not just a way of covering up garbage.
- dllthomas 10y agoBut it can also be substantially more costly than its worth, and a lot of the cost isn't super visible (people finding it marginally harder to get their job done, being unable to learn from informed discussion on HN, &c).
