I wonder what the goal of these guys is. Several high profile attacks with little impact, source code and attack vectors leaked, users and vendors scrambling to set up defenses.
Is this some "look what could happen" scenario or is someone using it to show off the skills of his other botnet?
- viraptor 10y agoAnother speculation is that these were very specific attacks. Are there any online monitoring / logging / audit services that stopped being reported to? I know that at least the SPF checks failed for emails. Some other infrastructure could fail too.
