  In my case there are 2 conditions required: - Search referer, i.e. clicking in from google search or using HN "web" link - Clean WSJ site cookies or incognito mode Maybe one of you read the WSJ recently, and one hadn't?

    Yup, I had already clicked on the article, so the WSJ knew that I'd been there previously.
