IBM says macs are less expensive than PCs over time
- brudgers 10y agoBecause the reference point was Microsoft's pricing not the hardware vendor's this appears to be a cost savings achieved by moving some support functions in house. It's a bit like pointing out how much Google saves by building their own servers and data centers. Most companies are not IBM with a large scale world class nix technical staff in house to the point that offering nix consulting is a profitable line of business.
