It really depends on the age. Even if the play is just for fun, losing games repeatedly is very demotivating for older kids. My youngest is now 20.

- paulcole 10y ago20 year olds don't play in leagues coached by parents. It's fine for leagues to be competitive. However, for the most part, it's the parents who care about winning and losing in the leagues for young kids, not the kids themselves.
