Virtual card numbers are not a new thing. For example, some Citibank cards allow you to create separate virtual numbers for different merchants. However, it looks like Final makes the process much easier.

- ars 10y agoThat flash interface has not changed in 16 years, except that a few years ago they added a requirement to enter the three digit code from the back if card. So that's pretty impressive that they can still support and maintain code that old.
- jjnoakes 10y ago16 years is impressive? What would you call a 33 year old multi million line codebase still being babysat in production today?
- arfrank 10y agoVirtual cards are just about 20 years old, we're starting there, but already working on a lot more pieces to what it takes to be a truly digital credit card.
