Does the additional speed increase the stress on the airframe or is that more than offset by the reduced flight time?
- matheweis 10y agoNeither; the airspeed (speed of aircraft relative to the air around it) is roughly the same.
- null0pointer 10y agoAdditionally, most of the stress on an aircraft is from pressurisation/depressurisation. So most flights cause similar amounts of wear on the aircraft regardless of flight time.
