- tokenadult 17y agoThe hardest thing about homeschooling for some families here in the United States is getting out of the two-income trap enough to have time to do it. My wife and I could have made more money for ourselves, thinking in the short term, by sending our children to the schools our taxes already pay for and working full-time (or overtime) when our children were younger. But I'm satisfied with the educational results of the trade-off we made. Time management is more of an issue for some people than others. It is generally more of an issue for a homeschooling family as the number of children increases. Our oldest is about to go off to college, and thus our household size will begin going down for the first time in several years. Here's a link with more information: http://learninfreedom.org/ http://learninfreedom.org/ For us, the bottom line is that we are glad to have homeschooled, and are keeping it up for our younger children.
