I once moved a project from ClearCase to CVS because the performance of our ClearCase setup was _really_ eating into our time. I didn't have any major complaints from SVN as well. Some reasons I moved to bzr are: - repository backups are free due to the distributed nature - python scripting - fast local operations So, yes, I don't really have a big issue with svn (or cvs) but given a choice I would go with bzr (or any other DVCS).
