Anthropocene and Empire
- antisthenes 10y agoI have no idea what the article is trying to say. Is it trying to be a book review? Is it a thorough critique of all Ghosh's work? Is it another warning about Anthropocene and rising CO2 levels? Was it written to celebrate her achievement of a PhD? Regardless, the author is here: http://bergen.edu/academics/academic-divisions-departments/english-composition-literature-basic-skills/our-faculty-composition-literature/stacey-balkan/ http://bergen.edu/academics/academic-divisions-departments/e... and judging by her educational background, she seems to suffer from extreme academia of the mind. Whatever the original intent, it seems to have been lost in pointless high brow academic masturbation, and extreme overquotation. > In any case, before any real change can occur, we must first be able to imagine a possibility beyond the limited horizon of our deranged imaginations. Yes, Stacey, indeed. Can you imagine the possibility where you are, in fact, not an effective communicator? If you want to reach people and motivate them to collective action, articles like this won't be the ones to do so.
