This is great. TL;DR of the whole thing? Don't do (almost) anything unnecessary ahead of time. I have a small bone to pick with 4) Shallow wrappers. My design process involves ignoring existing solutions for problems and then finding things to match my desired design. Often, this requires absolutely no wrappers, sometimes it requires shallow wrappers, sometimes more involved wrappers, sometimes implementing it all myself. I do agree that you should not blindly wrap anything. All in all, a great article. I think this should be required reading for aspiring designers/architects.
