For whatever it's worth, I just plugged my F25 laptop into my TV via HDMI, and it basically just worked. Sound didn't automatically switch, but I hit the overview key, typed "sound", hit enter, and built-in speakers vs. HDMI was an easy choice. We could look at making it switch automatically; I know it does for headphones.
