- vinylkey 10y agoI'm not sure how one makes a juice with less sugar in it other than watering it down. Putting fresh fruit into a juicer still yields a drink with high amount of sugar.
- lloyd-christmas 10y agoFruit juice by nature is almost 100% sugar even with no sugar added. I don't think there would be any difference between France and the rest of the world, unless you dilute it significantly.
- ptaipale 10y agoNot 100 % sugar though... almost 90 % water and 10 % sugar, give or take, depending on fruit and variety.
- lloyd-christmas 10y agoWhen I discuss the nutritional content of my chicken-noodle soup, I don't mention the water content unless I'm comparing it to someone else's soup.
- ptaipale 10y agoI think you misunderstood. Natural juices contain a lot of sugar, and that's what you've got in France, too. For instance, apple and orange juice contains approximately 10 % sugar. Juice drinks are then another matter; they are juice diluted with water and added sugar and flavourings, thus nutritionally even worse even though the sugar content is roughly similar.
