Agree w/ the other commenter that this article doesn't have a lot of meat, but I'm a long time mac user who is pretty close to going back to linux so here's my chance rant. :) OSX has developed a lot of usability annoyances: Apple forcing so much through the app store, bringing mobile experience to the desktop where it doesn't make any sense, managing to make Finder actually worse (thank goodness for spotlight... usually), iTunes and so on. It doesn't matter that much because I spend most of my time in a few apps: my browser, my IDE and my email client. But then, Linux has all that. What is keeping me Mac, probably for one more rev, is hardware compatibility. In particular, USB-C in the upcoming macbook pros. I really want to have one cable in my life. Once linux has a few years to develop good USB-C support, I think I'll make the switch.
