This is a very consumer-oriented post. Unfortunately, there's a clear tradeoff with startup advice between specificity and universality; for my startup, this one is far too specific to apply to us (I think, with some degree of confidence). Which is too bad, because we do think about hypothetical competition a lot, and it's a nonzero source of stress... but a post specific enough to address our situation wouldn't be very general at all. That said, I think this is still a well-written article (enjoyed his/her other posts on startup mechanics), and if it applies to you, c'est bon.
