  It takes a steady hand.   Oh believe me, after doing engineering school (mechanical or civil) you would be able to do that easily in half an hour and the end result would be quite pretty. Either that or you would never get a degree as technical drawing teachers developed the art of nitpicking to incredible levels (or at least that was the case at my university).
