Are we future obsessed? I am not.
- samstave 10y agoThen you're living in the past, man!
- babyrainbow 10y agoIts better to live with a solid grasp and understanding of the past and evaluate things on that basis, than to exist with a short term memory and perpetual fantasy of the future... But the latter helps to exploit you more...So I guess that is where the big shot entrepreneurs/corporations/governments want you..
- samstave 10y agoToo literal... Relax
- babyrainbow 10y agoNo! [1] I am mad as hell and I am not going to take this anymore! [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwMVMbmQBug https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwMVMbmQBug
- veddox 10y agoI would rather know the past to understand the present than hypothesize the future.
- veddox 10y agoI think in general, as a society, we are. Although as other posters have pointed out, our "future" has shrunk from trying to predict the next 100 years to predicting the next 10.
- flukus 10y agoI go a step further and say we're still trying to predict the last 10.
