What language(s) do you use for writing code on your hardware?

- contingencies 10y agoDepends on the microcontroller. Right now we only use ARM and cheap Arduino clones (Atmel) for sensor/effector integration, so anything Linux supports on ARM (python/lua/ruby/shell/whatever) and the Arduino stuff on Atmel. The latter are so cheap for our purposes (one finished product is $1000s, 10s of these are less than 1% of cost) that it's not worth cutting back a few cents per unit for additional hassle. We can always go lower level for efficiency, but time and maintainability are more important.
