The Rafto Prize comes pretty close; its purpose is more or less explicitly stated as raising awareness of lesser-known human rights activists to make their work easier and provide the modicum of protection that international awareness gives.
- j_jochem 10y ago"Lesser known" is probably where Snowden fails the criteria for that one.
- Coding_Cat 10y agoAlthough it would have the interesting effect of making the price more known by association, thereby increasing the 'protection' offered to all other recipients of the price.
