Most people just freak-out over the speed (it's closer to picolisp than SBCL being interpreted) although I recall a pretty major design decision that most lisps haven't used in decades that many would consider a flaw. I do like that it is similar to python in that it is easy to setup and comes preloaded with a lot of libraries.
