I never heard of data caps in Europe, how did US fell into this?
- roel_v 10y agoWhat? Im Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany there have been caps for years. I don't pay much attention nowadays but it was only, what, 6? years ago whem the limits on a Belgian connection with the main provider were 10 gb.
- akerro 10y agoI never had any caps in Poland, Germany and now in Uk so that's new to me.
- xdrosenheim 10y agoI have yet to see any Danish ISPs with data caps. Even our mobile plans are starting to get unlimited data (Non-tethering (Tethering currently has a cap of 50GB on my plan)).
- lokedhs 10y agoAre you sure you're not referring to mobile? The article discusses home broadband connections.
- roel_v 10y agoYes, home broadband.
- TheCoelacanth 10y agoIt's basically because we allowed ISPs to monopolize vast swaths of the country leaving no real competition.
