- linkregister 10y agoAt an Alexa rank of 676, that's pretty impressive. I think the key to DDG's success with a small set of engineers is their small scope. If they ever wanted to expand their product scope, for example, index their own searches instead of aggregation, they would start running into the obstacles discussed in the article. The Lucene comparison in the article doesn't apply to DDG (yet).
