I won't bother contributing to a project if I have to jump through hoops. The Github ecosystem removes these hoops. The license is a secondary concern for in-house software.
- tingol 10y agoI still don't see what you mean by this. All of the top projects on github have pretty clear licenses which are automatically accepted by you (the contributor). In fact if you choose not to specify a license your work counts as copyrighted (as per github licensing documentation). So Github doesn't really remove any "hoops".
