DIY mopping robot - any suggestion for serious hacking ?

I'd like to build a "good enough" mopping robot. Would you have any interesting links to provide ? (either a full write-up, or links to components, ideas etc ?) (such as http://spt06.chez-alice.fr/01/mop.htm)
