Buy the biggest slow cooker you can find. Once or twice a week, fill it with huge chunks of meat, onions, parsnips, garlic, salt, pepper, chicken broth and whatever else you like. You now have dinner for most of the week.
This is also a good strategy for people who are time-pressed or who simply don't like to cook.
- greggyb 10y agoI love this strategy. One thing that I like about it is that the volume of vegetables you'd reasonably use makes it very difficult to over-eat on. This would be a difficult meal plan to use to gain significant weight.
- biinui 10y agointeresting, how do you store the food so it doesn't go bad? freezer or fridge? air-tight ziplocs or ordinary plastic containers? :)
