I don't think that's really a big problem if it's occasional. Once you're doing that a couple times a week is when it adds up.

- AJ007 10y agoIf you can consume this and not feel sick afterwards, your diet is already fucked up.
- mod 10y agoMany, many animals evolved in this fashion. Any animal that hunts. I don't think you should have a digestion problem after ingesting 4k calories.
- pjc50 10y agoIndeed. There used to be a lot more people with heavy manual jobs for whom eating 4k at a sitting was a very regular event. But they've mostly been automated away.
- justin66 10y agoYeah, but the way you're getting the calories matters. There's nothing similar about metabolizing 4000 calories worth of raw meat vs. metabolizing an enormous milkshake.
- jtuente 10y agoDoing that even once a week with a regular diet the rest of the time, someone could gain 35+ pounds per year.
- swah 10y agoAgreed, 19k calories per week vs 14k calories, say. That's a 35% increase. One would have to plan and follow their daily calorie intake very well to be able to consume that milkshake regularly...
