I read it as she was being sued for that amount, not that it was the annual fee. I'd guess the extra dollars would be administrative fees etc etc.

- byoung2 17y agoAh, that's probably what the author meant to say. As written ("She was being sued by the dating website for not paying the fee of a bit more than $800."), it says the fee was $800.
