What percentage of SDE3 are promoted to Distinguished Engineer?
- skookum 10y agoNone directly. Virtually none indirectly. They need to get promoted to Principal Engineer first, then Senior PE, and then DE. Circa 2 years ago I'd guess there were at most half a dozen DEs company-wide and iirc half of those were hired in to that level as opposed to being promoted.
