I think this is silly. Simply having that last mile communication with USPS/Fedex solves the issue entirely. E.g 'just left your parcel on the side of the porc

I think this is silly. Simply having that last mile communication with USPS/Fedex solves the issue entirely. E.g 'just left your parcel on the side of the porch, behind the tree, no one was home'. Or requesting them to do that if you're not home. With the other issues of wrong deliveries and the like Amazon is just as likely to get it wrong.
