I don't know what IDE you use, but I use both Visual Studio and Eclipse. Eclipse is significantly slower, but it's still acceptable performance, and I like the python, hg, and remote plugins, so I find it very useful. For C#, VS is absolutely wonderful, and I haven't seen an IDE for a statically typed language I like better.
