I agree with you, but I think the bridge will be drone drivers as the assisted driver, not an in car driver. I think there will be warehouses full of drone drivers, ready and alert, to jump in at a moments notice to a car that raises an alert to being in a less than ideal situation. For all those "truck driving simulator" games, maybe there would be a market for "drone driver simulator" where you are dropped into random bad situations and have to successfully navigate out of them.
