Basically Scott Adams is trying to sell the idea that Trump is some kind of savant in the art of persuasion. And he's seeing all kinds of NLP and other strategies being put to use and so to the 'trained' eye Trump is an actual genius according to Adams.
Either Adams is trolling intentionally or in for a penny in for a pound with his theory on Trump. If the latter is true it is interesting to see how far intelligent people will go to see their narrative truth confirmed, even when it is clearly nonsensical. The funny thing is, even if Trump is a precision artist when it comes to persuading people, and there is no reason to believe he is, that doesn't make him anymore of a credible candidate.
Tony Schwartz has written the most illusive piece on Trump that I have read and after reading that the only conclusion a sane person should arrive at is that Trump is addicted to attention and his every activity is driven by a need to grow his stature, and he's really good at doing both. I'm not sure why any sane person would want these qualities in a presidential candidate.
