It's the pointer lock API: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Pointer_Lock_API https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Pointer_Loc... The browser tells you when a page calls requestPointerLock(), and tells you how to exit it, similar to the fullscreen API.
