Yeah yeah yeah. Everyone is talking big here about how "obviously" these inflated concerns about child safety are absurd and ridiculous.
But how many of you would step up to slap down those morons who berate parents for leaving their kids in the car for 30 seconds?
THAT is what is needed. It is no good to simply THINK that these people are going overboard. We have to actively STOP the stupid busy-bodies from assaulting those poor parents.
Step up. Step in. And slap down.
- nommm-nommm 10y agoThis is the problem though, it's an anonymous busy body with a cell phone that's the biggest problem.
- bambax 10y agoI think I would if I ever witnessed it. I haven't, so I don't know, but I probably would walk up to them and ask them if they're serious or what their problem is.
- masklinn 10y ago> But how many of you would step up to slap down those morons who berate parents for leaving their kids in the car for 30 seconds? The morons in question are generally litigation-happy brown-nosing assholes, so that's a good way to get charged with assault and battery.
- jshevek 10y agoThe parent comment may have been using colorful idiomatic phrasing to advocate for non-violent verbal engagement.
- adrusi 10y agoI don't know of this is the sort of thing you witness. Usually the asshole doesn't have anyone to berate because the point is that the parent left without their child, so the parent isn't there. They call the police without making a scene.
