- cowardlydragon 10y agoIt's been shown that psychologically people don't care about how much absolute wealth / possessions they have. All they care about is their relative position.
- prodigal_erik 10y agoIsn't that the hedonic treadmill? People don't really notice what they already have but resent what they don't. If I lost something important like indoor plumbing, I don't think I'd be comforted by knowing everyone else lost it too.
