- dharma1 10y agoI think biomimicry is a fantastic approach to discovering things evolution has already discovered. And evolution has had a lot of time to discover, makes sense for us to make use of it. I feel very uncomfortable when we are destroying all this evolutionary richness around us, that we could learn from. Biomimicry and the brain - our current instruments are not good enough, for instance to map neural connectomes in high enough resolution, to the level of seeing the what the neurotransmitter receptors of each neuron are etc. - and then see how they operate in vivo, to really understand the structure and function of biological brains. We'll get there, eventually.
