This reminds me ( and I guess every time i leave a shared bathroom ), how people really don't know how to wash their hands[1]. I guess anti-bacterial soap came in as a nice marketing gimmick to quick hand washing.
I've stopped shaking some people's hand's after seeing them "drizzle some water" for a second after, well, you know what.

- ceejayoz 10y agoI used to work with someone who would turn the water on, not wash his hands, and walk out. Could never figure that one out.
- nkrisc 10y agoLazy but not too lazy to go through some effort to avoid the social stigma of appearing to not wash his hands.
- xeromal 10y agoA surgeon I know recommends at least 20 seconds and he does this 100x a day. I'm amazing his hands don't fall off.
- rudolf0 10y agoMaybe something's wrong with me, but I have to wash my hands for at least 20 seconds just to feel the soap residue wash away. If I don't, my hands have a filmy feeling afterwards. I think it depends a lot on the water hardness from the sink you use, as well.
- acveilleux 10y agoHard water causes that, even (can be worse actually) if it's softened.
- semi-extrinsic 10y ago> Always wash your hands after: > Touching an animal or animal toys, leashes or waste I guess having a puppy lick your face is right out then?
- ceejayoz 10y agoThey lick their own asses with those tongues, so yeaaaaah...
- sndean 10y agoDogs' saliva actually has a number of antibacterial molecules (e.g., K9CATH, etc.) that should kill most pathogens, so you might be okay there.
- tajen 10y agoDogs are capable of... if left unattended. Read TheOatMeal then fill in the dots ;) http://pleated-jeans.com/2012/09/17/my-dog-the-paradox-by-the-oatmeal/ http://pleated-jeans.com/2012/09/17/my-dog-the-paradox-by-th...
- Xylakant 10y agoWhat do you mean by "if left unattended?" I've yet to see a dog that would check if a human is around before licking whatever part of his anatomy he just wants to lick. And they're surprisingly agile when it come to that.
- autokad 10y agoif that were the case, we'd use dog saliva and not soap.
