  Mine gave me a permissions error, trying `brew doctor` now. I wonder if I have something configured incorrectly from a few years ago. I do with the update announcement page said how to best update (in case there were any major changes).

  brew update --force (if update errors prevented the migration)

  Thanks for this. Didn't work for me due to the "update bug" at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12547579 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12547579 , but the fix there worked.

  In case anyone else command-finded for "update homebrew", this is how you update homebrew to the latest version (1.0.0).
