I can't help but think it was easier to do things before the internet.
- Practicality 10y agoI did a lot of programming before the internet was widely available. It was easier to keep working but much harder to get things done. When you have to use dusty manuals to research anything and everything you spend a lot of time looking things up and/or a lot of time trying random possibilities until one works. (You end up with a lot of "black-box" APIs and functions that you know work, but you can't remember why or what other things it can do are)
