      It wouldn't be hard to find another set of Chinese words with identical pinyin but completely different meaning, though. It's a very homophone-heavy language. For instance, the words for "buy" and "sell" differ only in tone.

        For sure, but these particular confused terms have (slightly) different pinyin.
