Offer HN: Free consultation on MVP Outsourcing
Hey HN,
as a longtime reader/lurker on HN, I'd love to pay it forward for all those times HN has helped (with knowledge, motivation, feedback, etc.).
Background:
As a CEO of an overseas (central european) company that has worked with a lot of startups, and as someone who has also hired/managed remote/overseas workers, I believe I'm in a good position to offer advice on what to do, and what not to do when outsourcing (part of) your product development. There's a lot of generic advice, but half of the problem is knowing what to listen to and what to apply to your situation.
The offer:
One hour of free consultation on whether to outsource, what to do, and pitfalls to avoid. We'll talk specifics about your situation. Skype/Hangouts, or IRL (see below).
To qualify:
1. Have a concrete idea/project, and be in stage where you're trying to hire developers, technical cofounders, or thinking about outsourcing (ie. be in a situation where outsourcing is a plausible option and not being sure if it makes sense);
2. Send me an email (in the next 48 hours) with a short description/links to your project and what you'd like to talk about;
3. I'll pick 10 startups that I feel I could help the most.
Please note: while I would treat any information given during the call/chat as confidential, I won't sign NDAs (while I'll happily sign NDA on the project I'm involved on, I don't want to take on a liability while offering free service).
I'll be in the Bay Area Oct 24 through Oct 27. If the schedule permits, happy to grab coffee instead of having a Skype/Hangouts call. Also if anyone's interested in arranging a meetup, let me know!
