- michaelwww 10y agoI bought a regular city bike (Townie) and then found a shop that converted it with a generic kit. The price of the Li-Ion battery has dropped quite a bit since I last checked [1], might be time for a backup to extend my ride. I don't seem to bother the non-electric riders in the bike lane since I mostly go with the flow. Sometimes I'll pass them going uphill, but that doesn't happen too often.
