So if you haven't been killed by taking counterfeit or misleading cancer-drugs you don't have a right to call out the fraud?
You don't appear to have thought this all the way through...
Of your examples, only HP intended to make a crappy product. Apple and Samsung tried to make a better one (thinner, more battery life, etc) and just made some mistakes. Mistakes deserve pointing out, intentional dishonesty does deserve a witch-hunt. Every day you don't point this out to non-technical people is a day the scammers get rich from their scams.
- wernercd 10y agoI've thought it through and the outcome is the same: A mountain of reviews by people who are most likely unaffected... before facts are established... and guilt is proven. A modern day witch hunt. I've "thought it through" and came to a different conclusion than you. I've concluded that modern day "warriors" decide that mistakes must be highlighted in any way possible before all the facts are known. BURN THE WITCH!!! SJW's care more about the fight than about actual truth and real justice. There are more than a few instances of BURN THE WITCH! followed by "Woops, the facts say something different". Rarely followed by an apology.
