What I'd like to see addressed more is his decision to outsource judgement to the news outlets. It seems that there is a qualitative difference between choosing to out sensitive information yourself and letting someone else ostensibly more qualified make the decision. Even if we concede the improper revelations, how do we characterize this lesser culpability?
