We're currently building a MVP using http://horizon.io/ http://horizon.io/, which is a self-hosted Firebase alternative. Reading this makes me a bit worried that we will run in to the same problems as the author. Anyone with experience in production apps built on Horizon who has some knowledge about these concerns?
- bdcravens 10y agoYou wouldn't run into password issues, since Horizon doesn't yet support password authentication.
- diegorbaquero 10y agoHorizon uses RethinkDB, you can still build around RethinkDB directly.
- ranyefet 10y agoFrom my understanding you can setup Horizon with your custom Node.js backend. So you're in control of your data and can manage your custom business logic
