I thought Reagan had little choice since the Supreme Court ruled forceful institutionalizations deprived people of their civil rights if they weren't an immediate threat to themselves or others.
- M_Grey 10y agoThere was a choice to fund education for families and former patients, and attempt a transition to outpatient care. Dumping them on the streets and into prisons most definitely was a choice.
